Original Fiction - The 7th Swan (Parts Three and Four)
All right. Have to head into the trenches for studying a significant amount today (physics, anthro, Japanese) but I am slapping this up for those of you who expressed interest on the first post. (Which can be found here.)

The 7th Swan.

Part One
Part Two
Part Three (new)
Part Four (The End) (new)

Based on a whole lot of fairy tales (including The Tinder Box and The Twelve Dancing Princesses, as well as the tale from which the title is taken). A tale of two brothers trying to fix a curse.

Anonymous comments that say amazing make me sad, as I cannot properly thank you!

(But thank you!)

You taunt me.

Or you give me something to look forward to post-term paper.

Haven't decided which.

I, being stubborn and contrary, do both.

Hope the paper is going well!

So looking forward to reading it! Master of Ravens is like my favorite original fic piece ever ever EVER. So glad you decided to share this with us :D Will leave more feedback after I read it!

Oh Master of Ravens. One day I'll actually edit that....er.

Ahem, anyway, it has the same gypsies in it as are in Master of Ravens! Apparently I am incapable of avoiding them, who knew.

Hope you enjoy!

Stunning. My god, woman, you continue to amaze me. I'm a sucker for fairy tales and you rocked the hell out of this one. You made everything your own and you must do something with this. If you really do want illustrations ever, I'm at your disposal. God, I think I need to read this again.

You're at my disposal? You're kidding, right?

In any case: I am unsure if you know how much your opinion means to me, but it means a great deal, and I am so thrilled to my toes that you enjoyed this. For really reals. Thank you for reading & for replying & also, you know, for everything.

I hope you're happy with yourself. You've ruined me for other fairy tales. I don't know whether to love you or hate you for that. Please never stop writing, you have such an amazing gift for it.

That wasn't my intention! It doesn't even have proper illustrations or anything...

Thank you so much. You (and that doggy, but mostly you) have really made me smile tonight.

Lovingly excited to devour this.

Also -- most of you HP fanfic is protected in lj. Any way I could gain access to this?

Hope you enjoy!

Perfect. Completely and utterly perfect. My new favorite fairy tale.

Thank you so much for letting us read this!

I just finished reading all of it. It's incredibly beautiful, and I really just don't have the words. I'm sort of in love with it. Thank you for writing and sharing it.

This means a whole lot to me. I'm really thankful that you read it--and, of course, that you enjoyed it, and let me know, and all the good stuff. Thank you so much.

I was saving this until my finals, but I cheated and read a little bit and I love it! It's wonderful. And I told my roommates about it and now they plan on reading it too. I hope you don't mind!

I know I shouldn't have posted it during finals crunch time. It was a distraction for me, too. ;) I really, really hope you enjoy it, when you do read it.

Meanwhile: good luck!

Gah! You're a writing goddess, you know. This is gorgeous, so wonderfully done (and off of my favourite fairy tale, squee! *grins like a madman*). Thank you so much!

Pish posh!

It's one of my favorites, too. I've always loved it--and always wanted to know what happened to that one brother. I'm so glad you liked it. Thank you!

How different is this from the version I read before?
panic! at the basquiat: (spn) sweet little sisterladyjaida on December 14th, 2006 02:31 am (UTC)
It's not, sadly, any different at all. I have (imagine that) been mulling your words ever since you gave me the feedback. I am a really, REALLY fast writer...and a really, REALLY slow editor.

oh God, i love it, and i love it so much. your gypsies're the best (are they Cam's gipsyes), and i love how Patience have 'rough tender hands', and how she can't stop once she start sewing, and how Mark is bad and good at the same time, and ounds sniffing on Beauty's hand, and faerie kingdom and mermaids and brothers - ah, how beautiful this all, and how... true. and all these little details that make tale a reality - and still lets it has it's magic.
you're amazing. please never, ever stop writing.

Ahhh, thanks so much--you have no idea how much this means to me, because I am inarticulate when it comes to expressing my thanks properly--but yeah. Really. Thank you. I'm so glad that you enjoyed it, and that you took the time out to tell me you'd read it, and everything. And they are definitely Cam's gypsies!
sorry for my botched English, btw -_- - without_names on December 14th, 2006 09:07 am (UTC) (Expand)

Ohhh, beautiful. Every strange tale I've ever loved, from Aladdin to Tam Lin, and with beautiful twists. I adore the three dogs. I have an enormous weight of physics and law and calculus on my back, but this has lifted it.

Courage and Beauty are meant for each other like few other things, and as characters they're lovely and complete.

Also, you write brothers in a way that makes me, as an only child, faintly regretful that I grew up alone in my personal space and my head and my heart.
